Arachnophobia

At Camp Tichenor we've got quite the wildlife. Deer, birds of all sorts, snakes, grasshoppers bigger than your hand, and....spiders!

I don't mind the 8 legged critters as long as I don't eat web right in the face or find one crawling on me. However, we've had new tenants move in since the horses have come bearing flies and gnats.

Their appearance would make one think they are biters and harmful to humans; but, in fact, they are very helpful!

This is your common garden spider. They eat only insects(wasps-yea!), eat and rebuild their webs daily, and harmless. They also have the neatest markings

Now that I'm educated, I'm going to try to kill less of them in hopes they will kill more gnats, flies, and wasps!
