Changes have come

My apologies for not writing about this sooner. We've had many people asking us what the changes are about - baby? moving? job? Nope, we've got a roommate.

Camp Tichenor has grown to population 3 (again, sorry, no Baby T).

These events have been transpiring for the past three plus months. God has been working in our hearts and preparing the way for this young man to come live with us.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Nathan's cousin, "J", will be living with us for a year or so. We offered our home to him so he could have a place to live while he attends college and works. He's 18 and graduated from high school this past May. He's a wonderful young adult with a bright future. His first week living here he has managed to fill out countless job application, receive 3 job offers, register for classes, and move! Not bad for just 7 days.

So much thought and prayer went into this decision and that wasn't even the hardest part. We have been in constant prayer since his arrival and at every turn we feel the enemy attacking us. We know and trust that our Lord is mighty and strong and will protect us. We may have no control over the frustrations and many, many, many, MANY bumps in the road, but our Lord does. God is LARGE and in CHARGE!

The Dr. and I are so excited about this new chapter in our lives! It has definitely been an answer to prayer  - keep checking back for more updates and maybe a picture of the new roommate!

See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power,
and he rules with a mighty arm.
See, his reward is with him,
   and his recompense accompanies him.
Isaiah 40:10

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
   instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
   instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
   a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61: 1 - 3
