Oh sweet girl, 8 months already!
So many fun changes. So many new things. So much more hair! ;-)
I've enjoyed watching how different her and Little Man are compared at the same age. She makes having a second child so easy. She hasn't starting crawling yet so for the most part, she stays put when you put her in one spot. Just watch out, when's she's tired or hungry the growl comes out and she's more likely to throw herself back in frustration...sometimes without a pillow behind
Sitting up and playing in a sea of toys is one of her favorites. Just this week she's been rocking like maybe considering crawling. Maybe. She is a pro at laying completely forward while in a sitting position so her chest touches the floor and toes are in mouth. What?! It's some crazy flexible-ness.
An adorable "trick" she's learned is clapping her hands! Start singing "If you're happy and you know it" and up go the hands and then together they go.
She LOVES LOVES all things food. There hasn't been a food she's tried that she doesn't like {We haven't gotten to green beans or peas because what kid really likes them?!}. I've lost track of the food she's eaten because she's been eating so much! Cereal for breakfast, puffs and sometimes fruit for lunch, dinner is something grabable like rice and sweet tator or avocado. She's enjoyed gnawing on raw carrots, melon, beans, and apple.
She's thrown out of wack on Tuesdays and Thursdays when brother goes to mother's day out. What I considered to be a day to get things done can also be a day of consoling and holding her most. What a great cuddle bug she is! So squishy!
Her hips, neck, and ribs are her most ticklish spots.
No teeth, yet.
Nap and bedtime must include her wubanub and lovey. You'll find her sleeping on her side or tummy.
Even if she's tired out of her mind, going outside after dinner will shush her and relax her till bath time. We rarely have to bring her in because she's tired and fussy.
She's a fan of our horse, Roxy. She grins so big when she gets to pet her neck or rub her muzzle.
Bath time is another one of her happy places. If you strip her down, she knows and starts flapping her arms and legs in preparation for splashing!
She's loved, adorable, precious, rolly, sometimes needy, ticklish, serious to new people, and stony faced when she's tired.
Let it be noted that this month's pictures were taken 30 minutes into what usually is naptime. No smile today :(
Classic "I'm tired" ear and eye rubbing.
The rectangular smile.
Big brother with a new haircut wanted a moment too.
